It is being reported that Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson is set to leave the Emirates and sign for German side Hoffenheim.

The 18-year-old has been with Arsenal for 11 years and had been set for bigger things, however, it appears his patience has run out and he wants to ply his trade elsewhere.

Nelson was seen as one of the finest young talents to come through the ranks and it was hoped that he would make a breakthrough into the senior side but that hope has now evaporated.

The young forward signed his first professional contract at the Emirate in December of 2016 and had begun to see some first-team action, most notably in the Europa League.

His current deal expires next summer and he has basically refused to sign an extension in order to engineer a move and who can blame him.

Nelson wants to play regular and he has probably come to the realisation that is not going to happen at the Emirates.

Too many talented youngsters are leaving Arsenal these days, Marcus McGuane, who joined Barcelona and Stephy Mavididi, who signed for Juventus are just two recent examples.

It is not as if the players that are playing on a regular basis are setting the world alight and if the fans can see that then you can be assured that youngsters like Nelson can as well, which makes it all the more frustrating that he is forced to seek a move in order to play more often.
