Reports have tipped Arsenal to have a major summer overhaul that could see them make some key transfer decisions.

Mikel Arteta’s side hasn’t had the best of times this season, and the Spaniard is hell-bent on bringing in change.

Arsenal’s case reminds me of a certain sleeping giant in Borussia Dortmund, they appointed Jurgen Klopp as their manager and after some bargain signings, he turned them into a German machine.

Mikel Arteta can achieve the same for Arsenal. The Spaniard has made a good start and has shown that he is a good manager.

Just like Klopp, Arteta can sign an average player and turn them into stars to help his team achieve their goals.

The Spaniard has made Bukayo Saka look good, and he has also made a good impact on Pablo Mari.

With the club facing a summer with limited funds and the possibility of losing our top scorer, I think we can look to Arteta to make some bargain signings and turn them into top stars.

But patience will be needed, and he has to work at his own pace. Another part of the Dortmund strategy that I like is when they do sign top talent they tend to make a huge profit when they sell on, something Arsenal have struggled to do consistently over the last decade.

While we may not want to sell our stars, however, making large profits from players we have developed would help us sign more quality players in the not so distant future.

Put it this way, copying the likes of Man City and Liverpool is not within our grasp but the Dortmund model is, Arsenal is perfectly set up to emulate what the German giants have achieved far easier than it is to compete on a level playing field with the likes of Man City.

Huge signs point to where Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be next season
