Arsenal to go head to head with Tottenham for Norwich City teenager.
North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are set to renew their rivalry off the field of play and battle it out for the signature of Norwich City right-back, Max Aarons, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old is valued at a whopping £30 Million but that could be reduced a little if the teenager is loaned back for a season.
Apparently, Aarons is being viewed as a long term replacement for Hector Bellerin, which does seem a stretch. He would more likely be competition when you consider Bellerin is only 24.
The club has some reservations over Bellerin claims the Mail. However, that is not something that appears to be verified and just smacks of an opinion.
Aarons is a regular at Carrow road but you have to look at the team he is playing in. Norwich is not exactly setting the Premier League alight in the same way that Sheffield United is. That makes it difficult to know how good Aarons really is.
That said, at least he has Premier League experience and in this day and age that is invaluable but even so, his fee does seem a little exorbitant.
This is not one that I will be getting excited about.
