Arsenal has struggled this season and it would come as a surprise that we spent over £100 million in transfers to strengthen our team last summer.
The likes of Kieran Tierney and Nicolas Pepe came through the door, and they were both tipped to take our team to the next level after reaching the Europa League final last season.
Both players haven’t had the best of seasons and their impact has proven that while they are not bad players, they were not the only players we needed to sign.
Unai Emery determined that he needed a winger and a full-back and he also got David Luiz through the door to make our defence stronger, but he spent the lowest amount on the major problems we had.
Arsenal’s major problem has been at the back, yet he spent less than £10 million on an ageing Luiz.
This summer offers us another chance to fix the right problems at the club.
Reports have linked us to so many players, but the only solution to our problems is to buy the right quality player for the position that needs to be fixed.
We can land Philippe Coutinho, Thomas Partey and Jonathan David as we have been linked with them all, but if we don’t fix our problems at the back, we will hardly make any progress.
