Arsenal has been handed a boost in their bid to land Thomas Partey with a recent claim.

Journalist, Jordan Choco, claims that their summer target, Thomas Partey wants his transfer to the Emirates to be sorted out soon, but the Ghanaian doesn’t want to fall out with his current club’s hierarchy.

Partey has been linked with a move to Arsenal all-season, and it appears that the Ghanaian also wants the move to the Emirates.

However, the Gunners would have to meet his release clause or reach an agreement with Atleti before they can get their man.

Mikel Arteta’s side doesn’t expect to spend so much money in the next transfer window giving the economic impact of Covid19 and the club’s absence from the Champions League for so long.

If the Gunners make the Champions League this season, they would stand a good chance of landing him because more money would be made available to them.

However, if they don’t, then they might have to sell some players from their current squad to make room for Partey’s arrival.

A number of players are expected to leave the Gunners this summer as Mikel Arteta rebuilds his team, but how much the club would raise from sales remains unknown.
