Arsenal could be bringing in yet another defender in the next transfer window as they look to shore up their backline.

The Gunners have conceded goals far too easily this season and fans are hopeful that things would get better soon.
Reports in Italy via Teamtalk claims that the Gunners have plans to scout Juventus defender, Merih Demiral when he lines up for Turkey against Iceland on Thursday.

The defender was one of the best defenders in the Italian league last season when he turned out for Sassuolo his form for them encouraged Juventus to make a move for him, but he has failed to break into their first-team plans so far.

Demiral has started just one game for Juventus this season and the report also claims that there is a high probability that he would leave the Old Ladies in the next transfer window.

Manchester United are also interested in him and they will also have a scout watching him on the night, but Arsenal hopes to beat them to his signature.

Arsenal was hoping that the arrival of David Luiz would improve their defence, but the Brazilian has struggled so far. Demiral could offer him the assistance that his other defence partners haven’t offered him so far.
