According to the latest media reports Mesut Ozil could be set to finally depart the club in January.
The German was left out of Arsenal’s 25-man Premier League squad yesterday after also failing to make the Europa League squad earlier in the month.
If there was ever any doubt that Mikel Arteta had washed his hands of the divisive playmaker then the decision to eliminate him from all first team activity removes that doubt.
Apparently, so the Daily Star reckons, Ozil is being targeted by MLS clubs, though how any of them could afford Ozil wages is an absolute mystery.
There is also no guarantee at all that Ozil would want to leave Europe, or for that matter, England.
The 32-year-old still has some football left in him but it will not be at Arsenal and at some point you have to think that he will click on to that and agree to depart for pastures new.
Arsenal must be very vigilant in whatever they are doing pertaining to the issue Mesut Ozil. The guy remains a special talent the football fraternity have ever had. It is therefore a fact that he is followed by many. For whatever reasons that be, Arsenal must consider what will happen in the future in regard to top players with special talents. Ozil’s situation is bigger than what it looks. ‘WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND’.
very disappointing treatment of a player who can still contribute to the team. its total injustice. he has his own weaknesses but he has strengths too. he is not too bad to not make the 25 man squad.
