Cedric Soares has opened up on being an Arsenal player and working with Mikel Arteta. The Portugal star joined the Gunners on loan from Southampton in the last transfer window.
He is yet to play for the team because he came to the Emirates already injured, however; he joined the club at their training camp in Dubai and he has also been training with the team after recovering from injury.
Despite having not played for the Gunners, he has hailed the expertise of Mikel Arteta and claimed that the Spaniard was a “complete coach”.
He claimed that the Gunners’ manager is one of those managers that cared a lot about his players both psychologically and tactically.
He also talked about Arsenal being a bigger club than it seems from the outside and hailed his teammates for how well they have treated him since he joined the team.
“London was a city that I already knew, and I feel very good here,” Cedric told Eleven Sports.
“Arteta is a very complete coach. I’m still getting to know him, but he’s shown many qualities.
“He’s concerned with all areas, both psychological and tactical.
“Arsenal are a huge club, and I have a better idea of that being inside.
“It’s a club that, from a very early age, I liked a lot, because I followed the Premier League and liked Arsenal. There was a time when the club won practically everything.
“Being at the club has been very positive. The players have treated me very well; since I arrived, they have been very cool with me.”
Soares hasn’t played a game for Arsenal yet and he will hope that at the restart of the league season, he will finally get his chance to prove his worth and secure a lucrative long term contract.
