Alexandre Lacazette remains one of the more senior players at Arsenal, and the Frenchman is a striker of genuine quality.
He has had to share the striker role at Arsenal with Eddie Nketiah in recent games, and it appears that Mikel Arteta trusts the young Englishman more.
Lacazette hasn’t been that impressive when he has been given the chance to start ahead of Nketiah, and I believe that he probably needs a change of environment.
A number of teams have been linked with a move for the former Lyon man (90 mins) ahead of the summer transfer window and I think it would be smart for us to sell him now. Here is why:
Selling Lacazette would give us the funds to be able to offer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a new improved deal.
With the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli in our ranks, we would also not be missing so much, and selling him would offer both youngsters more opportunities to develop their careers at the Emirates.
Not using him as often as he uses Aubameyang also shows that Arteta doesn’t consider the Frenchman a prefered first-team player and if we don’t sell him this summer, we might never get the same amount of money again from his sale.
Lacazette is a top-class forward, but he is a player that we can do without, so I suggest that we sell him now to raise funds to strengthen the team.
