Jose Mourinho recently launched an attack on Arsenal after his team lost to Sheffield United in the Premier League.
Arsenal and Tottenham have one of the fiercest rivalries in English football, and whenever each side has the chance to throw shade at the other, they don’t miss it.
Before Tottenham was beaten 3-1 at Bramall Lane, Arsenal had beaten the Blades 2-1 at the same venue in the FA Cup.
After the Lilywhites lost the game, Arsenal’s social media managers used that opportunity to make a post on Facebook that seemed to taunt their fierce rivals.
They posted the video clip of Arsenal’s FA Cup win accompanied with a caption which reads: “It’s not easy beating Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Here’s a reminder of how it’s done.”
The post angered Mourinho, who claimed the Gunners weren’t in a better position than his team.
Thierry Henry has revealed that the Portuguese manager’s response only made him laugh.
“It’s going to be a weird one, it’s going to be the first one where it’s going to be in this type of situation,” Henry told ESPN as quoted by Express Sports.
“It’s going to be funny to hear Mourinho talk about it.
“I saw the other day he already started to have a go at Arsenal, that was pretty funny at the end of the day.
“But no, listen, I didn’t think about it too much. Because I don’t think about Tottenham and I never did in fairness so it won’t change.”
Class from Thierry, just love that guy.
