Arsenal has continued in their bid to get their youngsters to develop well by handing a professional contract to Charlie Patino.

The 17-year-old is highly-rated at the club after he showed promise as a player for them from early on.

The club announced the deal on their official website and they noted how he has been so good and has been playing in the levels above him since he was 14.

At the age of 14, he was made the captain of the England Under16 team in a match against the Spanish Under16 team.

At the same age, he was called up and made his debut for Arsenal’s Under18s against Chelsea’s Under18s.

He has been a key member of the Under18 set up for much of this season and he is known for being very agile and technical, the report adds.

Arsenal has been successful in graduating players from their academy to the senior side for a long time.

Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah are two players who have made the breakthrough at a very young age and Patino will hope to join them soonest.

For now, he will look to keep developing his career with the other youngsters.
